Entrepreneur of the Year Award Given To Winston-Salem, NC Used Car Dealer

There are moments in business that make you pause, reflect, and appreciate the journey.

One of those moments happened when I learned that I had been recognized by Business Leader Media as one of North Carolina's Top 50 Entrepreneurs.

To say I was surprised would be an understatement.

The award brought together entrepreneurs from across the state representing industries ranging from technology and financial services to hospitality and healthcare. Thousands of business leaders were nominated, with finalists selected based on the strength of their nominations and winners determined through community voting.

When the final rankings were announced, I was honored to learn that I had finished #16 among all entrepreneurs recognized throughout North Carolina.

As I sat in a room filled with CEOs, founders, and business leaders from some of the state's most successful companies, I couldn't help but think about where our story began.

Not in a corporate boardroom.

Not in a skyscraper.

Not with venture capital funding.

Our family's entrepreneurial journey started decades ago with a simple belief: work hard, treat people right, and always look for a better way to serve your customers.

Long before Frank Myers Auto Maxx existed, my great-grandfather planted the seeds of entrepreneurship that would eventually grow into a family business legacy spanning more than 100 years.

Every generation added something to the story.

Every generation faced challenges.

Every generation had opportunities to quit and chose not to.

When I accepted this recognition, I knew it wasn't really about me.

It was about the incredible team members who show up every day committed to serving our customers.

It was about our loyal customers who have trusted us with one of the most important purchases they'll ever make.

It was about my family, whose support has made every success possible.

And it was about a community that has embraced our business and allowed us to grow.

One of the things that made this recognition especially meaningful was the opportunity to represent the automotive industry among so many accomplished business leaders from other fields.

The automotive business has given me opportunities I could never have imagined. It has allowed me to meet incredible people, support meaningful causes, create jobs, and help thousands of families find reliable transportation.

For that, I will always be grateful.

Awards are wonderful, but they aren't the finish line.

They're simply reminders that you're moving in the right direction.

The real work begins again tomorrow.

The goal remains the same as it has always been: continue building a business that serves people, supports our community, creates opportunities for our team, and honors the entrepreneurial spirit that started generations ago.

I am deeply thankful to Business Leader Media, everyone who voted, and all those who have supported our journey through the years.

This recognition belongs to all of us.

And the best chapters of our story are still being written.
